This week, YC WATERJET welcomed a group of customers from Colombia to our factory for an in-depth visit and technical exchange. During the visit, the customers focused on our 3D MAX 5-axis waterjet cutting machine and the CNC control system developed by Chaokong. They also witnessed a live demonstration of 5-axis waterjet cutting on metal, gaining first-hand insight into the machine’s capabilities and performance.
As a key highlight of the visit, the 3D MAX 5-axis waterjet cutting machine attracted considerable attention. Unlike conventional 3-axis systems, the 5-axis cutting head incorporates additional rotational axes, enabling the cutting head to tilt and rotate for more complex cutting operations.
The MAX 5 series supports bevel cutting angles of up to ±60° and C-axis rotation of up to ±540°, making it suitable for demanding applications that require angled cuts, intricate contours, and three-dimensional machining. These capabilities offer greater flexibility when processing complex metal components and other materials.
By combining multi-axis movement with high-pressure waterjet technology, the system helps manufacturers expand their cutting capabilities and handle more challenging production requirements.
During the factory tour, the Colombian customers watched the 3D MAX 5-axis waterjet machine cut metal in real time. The demonstration allowed them to observe the coordinated movement of the cutting head, the cutting process, and the system’s performance on actual workpieces.
Seeing the machine operate firsthand provided a practical opportunity to understand how 5-axis waterjet technology can support complex cutting tasks. Waterjet cutting is particularly valuable for applications where material versatility and the ability to process intricate shapes are important considerations.
In addition to the machine itself, the visitors showed strong interest in the CNC control system from Chaokong. The control system plays an important role in coordinating multi-axis movements and executing cutting programs, helping operators manage complex cutting paths more efficiently.
The discussion highlighted the importance of integrating advanced mechanical design with intelligent CNC control to achieve reliable and precise cutting results.
